I Peter Rosekrans of the town of Bethlehem and County of Albany, being in perfect mind and memory (Blesfed be God for the same) do this twentyeth day of March, in the year of our Lord on thousand eight hundred and twenty eight make this my last will and testament in manner and form following: Imprimis: I commend my soul into the hand of Almighty God who gave it me, and my body to the Earth from whence it came in hopes of a joyful resurrection through the merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ and as for that worldly Estate, wherewith it hath pleased God to keep me I dispose of as follows: First, that all my property both real and personal (except clothing and two feather beds and necesfary Sheets, Pillows and covering for the same) be sold at auction within one year after my death and all my debts be paid out of the amount of said sale, the remainder of my property I dispose of in the following manner: First, I give to my wife Esther four hundred dollars, and also the clothing Beds and bedding above described to belong to her and her heirs forever, to my son Abraham I give one Dollar, to my daughter Catharine, wife of John Hillebrant I give one Dollar and the remainder of my property (after paying the above) I give to my four daughters (viz) Sarah wife of Casper Salsbury, Ann Maria wife of Lewis Spaun, Hannah Eliza and Margaret to be equally divided between them to belong to them and their Heirs forever, and Lastly, I do nominate, ordain and appoint David P. Winne Abraham Rosekrans and John Garnsey my true and lawful executors to this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others or former will or wills, testament or testaments; In witness whereof I the testator have hereunto set my hand and seal as such the day and year above written; Signed sealed published and delivered by the said Peter Rosekrans as and for his last will and testament in presence of us whose names are under written who do each of us subscribe our names as witnesfes at his request and in his presence -
